How the Task Force works

From a bad solar deal to a documented file.

Most homeowners come to us frustrated, out money, and unsure whether they even have a grievance worth pursuing. Here’s exactly what happens after you reach out. Your initial review is free; if we open a file and take it on, we’ll walk you through the engagement before you commit to anything.

STEP 01

Open your file

You tell us what you were sold and what actually happened. It takes about five minutes, your initial review is free, and it stays confidential. Nothing is filed anywhere until you say so.

  • A short intake form or a phone call — whichever you prefer.
  • We open a file and assign a review team the same day.
  • Free initial review, and no obligation to continue.
STEP 02

We build the file

Our team gathers the paper trail: your contract, the financing agreement, the sales recording if one exists, permit and inspection records, and your utility bills before and after install.

  • We identify every promise that wasn’t kept in writing.
  • We check for undisclosed liens, dealer fees, and add-ons.
  • We check who holds your loan — key to the FTC Holder Rule.
STEP 03

We press for resolution

With the file assembled, we take it to whoever is responsible — the installer, the finance company that holds your loan, the sales dealer, or the right state regulator — and push for a resolution that makes you whole.

  • Formal demand and negotiation on your behalf.
  • Holder Rule claims raised against the loan holder where they apply.
  • Complaints filed with the AG, CFPB, or state board where warranted.
